Uh yes, he is joking. Creighton and UNI will not be playing at all let alone under a contract like this.

Oh, they wont be? Creighton and coach Mac must have failed to consult you on this decision.

I've heard that Coach Mac said we weren't playing MVC teams in the near future. Maybe there is an exception for UNI although the treatment he gets there would make me wonder why he'd want to go back.

With Doug gone and you guys out of the league, that will grealy, greatly change. He was treated very well when he brought Iowa State teams to Cedar Falls. In fact, he received standing ovations both times he brought Cyclone teams here...

*IF* Creighton plays an MVC team on the road, I'd personally like to see it be Drake because it'd be an easy trip for fans to make. I suppose guarantee games with other MVC schools would be fine too.

I still think an annual WSU/Creighton game in Kansas City would make sense for both programs, financially and recruiting-wise in KC.

Sprint Center game, almost perfectly mid-way between Omaha and Wichita? I think you can sell that game out, split the gate, get it sponsored well, and have it on ESPN easily.

I just can't wait til Creighton becomes the Evansville of the Big East. And all of this new superiority talk will come back to hit em in the face.
USA Today Coaches Top 25 Poll Conference Breakdown:

MVC: 1
WCC: 1
Atlantic Ten: 1
MWC: 1
Big East: 1

The Big East is Big Time.

It probably doesn't matter much how they do in the new league. They will still be in the new league and WSU will still be in the MVC

Some might say being 7th in the Big East is better than being 1st in the Valley. To each their own, I guess.

Even so and I doubt it, we will still be 36 million dollars richer over 12 years!

Yeah, I heard him say the same thing, it was when he was asked about playing WSU after Marshall said he'd like to still play us and he said that he would avoid playing MVC teams the next few years to "sort out" the schedule and figure out how difficult the non-conference needs to be in the new league.
