That is a solid list! I wonder if Carter will get enough minutes at WSU to be NCOY. I also wonder if Kadeem Coleby might not be more likely as he is slated as the starting center. Hard to tell since I've not seen either play any D-I games. Plus, one of the new Ill St transfers is sure to score in double figures, making a red bird the pre-season favorite for NCOY and second team All-Conference

POY/COY will belong to the tandem that wins the league most likely. I could see a Odum/Lansing or Tuttle/Jacobson combo.

I still have no idea what Loyola will bring as far as All-MVC players. Not sure who will step up in Evansville and to what degree.

I like your list pretty well too.

I do think Jake Odium might end up as POY if ISUb has a good year. Hard to argue against Early though. And I'm a Homer but I like the Bears Devon Thomas for FOY. I think he'll really be a player for us and give us the best young backcourt in the mvc (teaming with Marshall) .

I'd definitely put Coleby over Carter as WSU's NCOY. Like Wufan said, that's a tough thing to predict without having seen either of them, but Coleby will have more playing time most likely.

I'd say:

POY: Cleanthony Early - WSU
NOY: Kadeem Coleby - WSU
FOY: MiKyle McIntosh - IlSU
COY: Ben Jacobson - UNI

Hard to argue against Jacobson if he provides a top three finish after losing three of his top four scorers from last season.

It would seem many on this fine forum expect Ron Baker to be injured for the majority of next year as well.

Neither Coleby nor Carter will be NOY in my opinion. Both will provide assistance and depth to a thin (by WSU standards) front line.

I like McIntosh for FOY as well if for no other reason than the system and the fact the Birds return so little there is almost no established experience or pecking order. He'll have every opportunity to step in and be a leader from day 1, something he appears to be capable of undertaking.

If Odum is POY something tragic has happened in Wichita. Multiple tragedies.

With Will Egolf finally graduating, Tyshon Pickett should have a good chance to take home the person foul title and fouling out title.

I personally won't rank three players from one team on a team man All-Conference team in the pre-season. VanVleet as a replacement for Armstead seems reasonable, but Baker instead of FVV is just as plausible.

Nope. I just predict FVV to be the better of the two.

I agree. Baker is easily one of the best players in the league. I'll be glad when he graduates but sad it will take another 3 years for that to happen.

Do you think Baker will be getting Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, or Rookie of the Year?
