At least Jackie can sign with whoever wants him.

Kind of funny that BU fans are back to bash our birds after disappearing the past several years. I think we will lose all of our non conference games and win all of our conference games. I am also good at picking the stock market. I will predict 5th or 6th. And I don't drink the Koolaid, Miller Lite please.

Xavier was one of my favorite Valley players of all time. He also had a funny role in the sitcom Married With Children.

Still along way from the beginning of the basketball season. Carry on....

Disappointing that Jackie wasn't drafted. The Valley doesn't have many guys selected so anytime we get a chance it's nice for the league to showcase NBA level talent. That being said, for Jackie it might be better to have the freedom to choose where he wants to sign.

Jackie was/is a good player. I hope he makes it. I also hope to see Murry get a chance this year.

If you watched the highlights of the forwards taken in the 2nd round, they all looked more versatile than* Jackie. Most looked like outside-in (Euro) players while Jackie plays inside-out (old school). His inability to handle in traffic and shoot from deep left him out last night. Hopefully he finds a good fit in free agency.

Kudos on predicting it.

Is this directed at me? I wasn't bashing anything. I had predicted them 7th a month ago, but with the roster now completely gutted I'm sliding them to 10th. Muller hasn't proven anything yet, while my other two projected bottom feeder coaches have. Sorry.

In MVC draft news, Bradley still lays claim to the last 3 Valley 1st round picks (4 if you count Granger who played 1.5 years in Peoria). That's actually sad given our relative lack of titles and NCAA success. Almost as sad as ISU Red's 15 year NCAA drought despite DOMINATING "closest not to get drafted" honors. :P

Glad to see that Jackie got picked up. Quickly I might add. Hopefully he can make an impression and stick in the league for awhile. Good for him too to play with Lebron as I know he is a big fan.

Being picked up for a summer league spot isn't being picked up for the NBA. Lebron James is very unlikely to play a game in the Summer League, so Carmichael most likely won't be playing with him even once.

Making a summer league team isn't much to brag about. I know at least three of WSU's seniors from two teams back made last year's summer league.
