Sure they lose Creighton and that is without a doubt a significant loss, but they replaced them with a team that is investing heavily into athletics, is in a very desirable location for recruiting, and has a lot of money, and could be a very good get for the Valley down the road. I don't consider the Valley a winner in the realignment game by any means, but I do think they certainly won't be losers, and will remain one of the most stable conferences in the NCAA. The CAA and the WAC are without a doubt the biggest losers in realignment IMO.

Swapping Creighton for Loyola definitely makes the Valley losers in realignment.
Potential in the future doesn't make up for a significant drop in quality for the next few years.

Definitely a loser in the short term. The questionis how long that impact lasts.

Colonial has been abused by the Atlantic 10 of late.
A-10 not only subs in George Mason for 4 teams, they more or less constructively evict two more with the Mason add. If it wasn't for the flow of CAA teams to the A-10, the A-10 would stand alone as the biggest loser in the realignment game.
Nice work trading Butler, Xavier, Temple, and Charlotte for George Mason. And to top it off, the commissioner got an extension for it!

It's really impressive how you managed to post in seven different threads about the same thing.

You know, I think prior to your posts, they were really looking at the issue as being about bettering their situation, improving television contracts and other forms of revenue, or perhaps that their association with eastern schools gives them recruiting and television advantages that they would not have in the midwest.
But now I think you've changed their opinion.
Sorry, I think you're wrong. The A-10 is still better for them.
