Any chance WSU goes 18-0 in MVC?

The biggest mistake fans make is the extrapolate from one year to the next. That is why usually the preseason pick doesn't always win. There are some development questions that WSU will need to have answered. If they are answered in the positive then he'll yes they can finish 18-0. But more than likely there will be a surprise MVC team and some of the WSU player development will be mixed and this team may not be as good as some think.

Man, a lot of crap-talking on WSU and Marshall for a bunch of teams that are a combined 10-42 against them in the last 3 years, 8-38 minus Creighton.

I don't think we'll go undefeated, but, like last year, how we do in conference will largely depend on health.

That's definitely an interesting point. How many starters was WSU down throughout the majority of the Valley season last year? 2nd place not bad for 2/5th of the starters playing.

I predicted an undefeated season on Shockernet last year. I wasn't alone. This year we have a much better chance of going undefeated. Memphis went undefeated in CUSA for like 3 or 4 years. I have predicted that WSU will become the Memphis of the Valley so I predict that eventually - maybe this year - we will stop losing games... period.

It's a great century to be a Shocker fan!

I couldn't give two shits what we do in St. Louis. The conference tournament is a joke and is meaningless. What you do over the course of a season and on the national stage in the NCAA Tourney is ALL that matters.. believe me.

For some schools, their only chance at the NCAA's is by getting hot on a 3-day weekend at the Lou, so therefore, it is more important.

And what happens when we go 18-0?

"You guys need to focus on beating *insert MVC team here* by 35!!! You guys think you're big time and you can only beat them by 34!!!"


FWIW, I'd probably take 18-0 over winning in St. Louis. Give me the RPI and resume boost over the 3-day tournament any day.
