We barely played Walt and Tyshon last night and ran away w/ the thing we r 2 and 1 in the bahamas..........going for w number 3 tonight .....how many games have yall played this yr? ;0 advantage us and with 8 new beasts its really helping

I wouldn't exactly brag about the games in the Bahamas. The competition isn't the same. Point of reference: Loyola played in Italy last year. Won all but 1 game. Several were straight blow outs. What did we do last season? 15-16.

Look. Bradley is a good team and should have a good year. But getting worked up over a summer trip to the Bahamas? Come on now.

Why should they be a "good" team? They have 8 new players... Lemon is an elite guard and Pickett is a decent post but after that what do they have? I understand it is ridiculous for Missouri State to expect their group of freshman to be better then they were last year, so why should we expect Bradley's newcomers this year to be ready to carry the torch? Bradley lost 56% of its offense from last year, are you expecting those newcomers to make up for most of that?

First off, since you are asking me, I never said anything about MSU's team for this year. You asserted that MSU would have beaten LU last year and I disagreed. In looking at MSU's team, it's pretty clear that they have no place to go but up. At the end of the year, they trended better. I expect them to have a better year, but I'm not predicting a big jump. The only reason I expect big things from LU is that we had, according to metrics, a negative luck rating. MSU did as well, but your luck rating was -.5 (ranked 206) and ours was -1.2 (ranked 252). Losing 7 games by a total of 12 points will do that to you.

Now, on to Bradley. They were 18-17 last year. They lost 4 seniors, two of whom averaged over 10 ppg. That said, they do return Lemon. As you mentioned, Pickett should be good for them. Just looking at the past performance and trends, Bradley should finish the way that they did last year. Please note, I said "good." I didn't say "great." I didn't say "top of the conference." I said "good." They played in the CIT last year. Post-season play (regardless of the tournament) is a positive and I view that as having a "good" year.

We are talking about the League, Bradley finished Behind MSU in the last year. If we want to get into metrics then lets use the almighty RPI which you have been avoiding since it does not make your case.

MSU - 204
Loyola - 216

Yes i know the RPI is garbage, but the fact remains is anyone can twist the argument in their favor.
After the start of conference last year Loyola was 6-13 in a much weaker league. Missouri State went 8-12 is that same period against tougher competition and Bradley was 7-12 over the same period against the same competition. Wins and losses are probably the most valuable statistics in all and your assessment that Bradley will be good this year and Loyola was better last year just doesn't add up.

No, Just excited to beat the shock!

You compared Italian hoops to Bahamian and acted like it was easy goin over and dominating them......that was the main focus of my post

Shot at the shock is just a shot at the shock lol

Now to who other than the stud freshman will fill the HUGE hole hahahahahahahah left by EGOLF, DSE,JE....ok DSE had a great SR season and is Peoria! Grier and Fields alone makes us better, Prosser streaky at times Dominant.....SR yr= Best yr yet which is gonna be average a double double....So TP and JP I can continue....but I love last yrs group and thank them for all the efforts but we are way better now then at the end last yr!

So we finished all of 12 RPI spots behind you guys when you had "much tougher competition." (just note, 2 of your wins came against non-d1 competition who, as an aside, I have never heard of.) What does that tell you? I'll give you a hint...Your analysis of the situation is incorrect.

First off, the difference between 204 and 216 is not much. Second off, go back at take a look at the metrics that I posted earlier. Every single one of them shows LU as better (hence why LU is so close to MSU in RPI in spite of playing in a "much weaker league." Finally, if you want to ignore the fact that we lost 7 games by 12 points...fine. Stuff happens. But, just for the sake of argument, pretend that LU won half of those games. All of a sudden, we are 9-10. Looks a bit different, doesn't it?

You do realize that you are the only one arguing your point, right? Doesn't matter. It will all be decided on the court.

A lot of fans are excited to beat us. It's not that surprising this excited newbie is one of them. I mean they went 2-1 in the Bahamas after all.

As to being a Shocker fan, apparently your screen name confused him. You can just tell you're dealing with the top of the bookshelf here.
