IlSt fans should learn to embrace the abyss. It's likely to be there home sweet home for a year or two.
SIU's situation demonstrated that when you have a great group of recruits that leave within a year or two, it's not good for the program. I would expect us to be very competitive next year assuming we don't have a lot of critical departures. Obviously this year will have growing pains with almost an all new team and a lot of Freshman but it's a big wild card. It would be ridiculous to have a no hope attitude before practice starts because of an unrelated problem at SIU a few years ago.
