Gotta like a win against ISU.

Defensively UNI played a good game. A few breakdowns but nothing too bad. Offensively UNI has a ways to go but it looks like people are getting a little more comfortable. O'Rear is looking more assertive in the post wich will help. He had a double double with 10 pts and 11 rebounds. Jake Koch is starting to hit shots and Anthony James continues to impress and is our best offensive weapon. Kwadzo contunies to struggle, even though he had 10 tonight was 1-11 from the field. UNI out rebounded ISU by 11.

Starting Senior Guard Kerwin Dunham has been out the last couple of games, hopefully he will get back soon for depth and defensive reasons.

Yes, he did. And many of them were offensive I believe.

He has really played well so far this year.

Good win last night, for both UNI and the Valley. I am a little curious though, about the 'quality depth' we have heard about.

I didnt see the game, so I dont know for sure how the game played, but that doesnt seem to be real deep, according to the box.

Keep in mind Kerwin Dunham is out. Anthony James would normally be coming off the bench. Pehl didn't do much offensively but held his own on the other end of the floor.

That said, I was never one to tout our "depth" this season. At least not after we found out Doug McDermott would not be a Panther.

I don't know, but I heard he has plantar fasciitis in his right foot. Anyone who's ever been around that knows what a lingering injury it can be.

Chip Rank had been playing significant minutes, but only played a couple minutes last night for some reason. I would expect him to contribute more and more as the season goes on.

And hopefully Dunham is able to return in a timely matter. Losing his size on defense could really hurt us.
