Seriously, though, there's always a chance that things can click for him, and if they do, he has the size to always get interest from the NBA. But on a year to year basis, EO showed essentially zero improvement at WSU on the offensive front.
That's not true at all. He showed quite a bit of improvement on the offensive end. It was by no means polished, but he was a different player than when he first got here. Had he been somewhere that didn't have the frontcourt depth that we had, he most likely would have progressed even more. That's why I believe that some time in Europe where it'll be nothing but basketball for him and he'll get more court time could work wonders for the young man.
In what way did EO improve?
Over three years, his FG% didn't show much of an improvement: 41.7%, 50%, 47%. I guess that's an improvement from the first season, but he only made 5 baskets that year.
I guess you could argue that his points/game increased, but so did his minutes. His points per minute played: .19, .16, .17.
His FT% plummeted to 39% last year.
The ratio of turnovers to points scored is pretty incredible.
He really couldn't even catch most passes made to him in the paint.
You can show statistical offensive improvement for nearly every player that's ever played at WSU under Marshall ... except EO. His stats never really improved. Every time he got in the game I just prayed they wouldn't pass the ball to him. He developed a little skyhook, I guess, but ... who cares? Didn't make any statistical difference.
So if that's not true at all and he showed "quite a bit of improvement on the offensive end," where is that improvement? Just a gut feeling?
