You can find cost of living calculators pretty easily on Google. As I'm moving from Hawaii soon, I've been looking at them a lot -- cost of living here is insane.

I think Twitter is a great way to spread Internet rumors even faster. I have no idea who Jon Rothstein is. The following Tweet wasn't linked, just "quoted":

Jon Rothstein ‏@JonRothstein 28m
Wichita State is now one of the Top 25 paying jobs in terms of staff budget in the country. Amazing how the sport has changed in last 5 yrs.

I'm skeptical that that is true, but it could be and it's not that far out of the realm of possibilites.

I believe Sully had something from the USA Today that showed Marshall is in the Top 25 as far as pay. I assume the extra 500k for assistants doesn't have much effect either way, but I could be wrong. Have no idea how much schools pay their assistants around the country.

Who's the lowest paid HC in the MVC? I'm wondering if Jans might make more than him yet

Lansing and Lusk make right around 200k, IIRC. I bet Jans makes more...

Like I said, Marshall's salary would be ranked #23 in the country last year. Not sure how much changed for this year.

Chris Jans was ready for a D1 head coaching job about 3 years ago. The fact that he hasn't left Marshall's side for that job speaks volumes as to what he believes WSU was and is poised to accomplish and to the quality of Coach Marshall, the level of pay and support he receives overall from the administration and the fanbase.

Hypothetical question...

If Gregg Marshall shot someone dead, during rush hour at a main street Wichita restaurant, would he even be arrested?

Hypothetical question....

If a Redbird player was arrested for punching a woman and plead guilty, would he even be suspended for a regular season game?
