I would still say he is off base by picking LU 9th. 6th or 7th is the right place to put us for the moment.

I would not call Ron Baker a reach. He's a heck of a player.

I would say that it is hard to justify Baker as a first teamer over Tuttle, Mitchell, and Jackson among others.

I believe that to be the case as well. In the past, LU has been an enigma. We play tough against quality opponents (see our game against Michigan St. last year where we nearly pulled off the HUGE upset or any of our games against Butler). Then, unfortunately, we play down to bad opponents. That's why the move to the MVC is so good for us. We no longer have to play the Cleveland State's or Youngstown State's of the world. Sure, SIU and Drake may be bad (this year at least) but there is a huge difference between a bad SIU team and a bad Youngstown State team.

Can't wait to welcome you all to the Joe for a game. For some (i.e. Bradley, ISUr, Evansville) the campus and arena have changed since your last visit. For the rest, we don't have the biggest arena but we sure can rock it. Plus, it's always great to be on the Lake (even when it's snowing).

Sometimes low expectations are better. Always better to overachieve than underachieve.

I am fine with that. I recall when LU made the move to the MVC and I hopped over here. Not a single person was on board with the move. I think I said something to the effect of "I think we are going to surprise some folks" so I was fine with being overlooked.

His only surprise IMO is Tyshon Pickett on the First Team. I think you can flip-flop Bradley and MSU 4/5 all day.

Between Arop, Pickett, Marshall and Tuttle (probably a couple others worthy of mention) you can't really go wrong when picking forward/center.
