Freshman of the Year-Friedman or Jeremy Morgan. Morgan will likely start at the 3, Friedman is a possibility at center if Jake moves Tuttle to the 4.

Newcomer of the Year-either of the freshman (Morgan will be more of a scorer) or Washpun, who will likely start at guard opposite Mitchell-both are point guards, but Jake likes having multiple ball-handlers

Player of the Year: Tuttle

what about Defensive players and most-improved

I'm pretty sure the league office has already mailed the All-Defensive Team Captain award to Tekele Cotton.

Chip Rank has averaged 4.1ppg and 2.5rpg in 3 seasons at UNI.

Yeah, not sure why Rank is on there other than he is the senior on the team with most returning minutes (other senior Morrison was injured for most of the season last year). If you're going to have two Panthers, it should Tuttle and Mitchell.

Absolutely.

My alma mater's nominees...

POY - Walt Lemon Jr
NOY - Auston Barnes
FOY - Stefan Zecevic

I'm not sure BU has any true freshman that will get enough time to be considered for FOY. I think they'll be role players this year, but I nominated Stef because I think he's the most mature and game-ready of the freshmen. He has been battling a back though but I think he's feeling better.

Auston Barnes I think could push for All-Newcomer team.

That's an interesting list. No Deon Mitchell and others but Nick Zeisloft and Chip Rank? Obviously not a lot of research put into this one. Also what happened to Jon Ekey? I would've expected him or Keane to be the RedBirds top returning player.

Ekey is at Illinois now. There is a reason everyone has been saying the Redbird roster is completely devoid of experience.

Ekey jumped ship like the rest of the Redbird roster. He is at Illinois
