FOY-Austin Ruder (Rivals list of top 10 deep shooters in the country. Averaged 22pts 6rbs 4ast sr year)

NOY-Ron Mvouika (offered by VA Tech out of High School. Avg 19 pts 8 Reb last year in JUCO)

POY-Marcus Marshall (last years FOY and a player with a very high ceiling)

I don't think Austin will be a FOY candidate.

You never know. Very few predicted that Marcus Marshall was going to win the award last year either.

What I meant by that is I don't expect him to play this year. I should have been more clear.

I'm not sure BU has any true freshman that will get enough time to be considered for FOY. I think they'll be role players this year, but I nominated Stef because I think he's the most mature and game-ready of the freshmen. He has been battling a back though but I think he's feeling better.

Auston Barnes I think could push for All-Newcomer team.

I believe RS freshman count don't they?

Yes. I don't think BU has any of those though.

Jordan Swopshire is a true freshman. We don't have any redshirt freshmen.

Cle will be all conference, but I'll go out on a limb and say he will not be POY. I'm afraid he's going to fall in love with the 3 too much.

Neither Ria'n Holland nor Shaq Morris will see enough time to be considered for anything. Both are miles away from getting minutes on this team. Both need a redshirt. Holland is unlikely to get it due to the Bowles tragedy which is a real problem. Bowles can play, right now, for a top 50 team.

Both Coleby and Carter could be NOY. Coleby is a freak athlete who can finish around the basket and guard most any post, and Carter has a motor at least as good as Hall. Not saying he is as good, Hall really improved, but Darius is without question more skilled.

WSU is going to present some real problems at times when they go big with Coleby, Carter and Early at the 3,4,5 and say Cotton and VanVleet at the guards. That is size and athleticism (in addition to skill) that few can match.
