I'm glad that the Valley is the Big East's measuring stick.

5 days???!!?! Omg, wanna cookie? Thankfully, other CU fans are here filling up the slack. I'm just happy to see so many Creighton fans still salivating and caring over the Valley. It appears the Big East fans are giving them the cold shoulder. They may never leave!!

It's kinda like when you graduate high school and head off to college. You love life at college, where you are welcomed and well treated, but you still want to head back to your original home for a visit.

The point wasn't that the MVC is the BE's measuring stick, although that seems to be the point of your signature. My point is that if one cares about the MVC and wants to see it thrive, as I still do, then something should be done to narrow the gap between the haves and have-nots in each sport, a gap that's beginning to widen in the MVC across several sports.

I would have sworn I was on a website dedicated to Missouri Valley Conference sports. I thought I clicked on the Basketball Forum. I had to go back to check that I was actually in a thread about WSU's ranking in the USA Today poll.

But, evidently I'm in the Big East Women's Soccer Forum.

When I ran into this line, I was confused.

Let's look at the 3 major Fall sports

There is only one major fall sport. The Formerly Big East does not participate. The MVC only marginally participates. I was confused.

Then I found out that 2 of the major fall sports, according to Formerly Big East logic, appear to be soccer. SOCCER?

CU fans seem drawn to this thread like moths to a flame.

I agree with ihsi; there are most posts about the Big East and Creighton by WSU posters than all the rest of the Valley and CU trolls combined. You're either obsessed, or if you truly want it to go away, ignore it. My personal belief is having had to play butt boy to CU for so many years, you feel deprived of rubbing the Final 4 in their face now that they're gone, and so you seize on every opportunity to try to reengage them in banter. Of course you're gonna side with the leaving member of this conference and not Valley member WSU because MSU has been WSU's butt boy since eternity. I get it. Not having been to the NCAA's since the Clinton Adminstration will do that to ya.

How many times has CU finished above WSU in the last 5 years? 10 years? I would hardly call that being somebody's "butt boy", especially considering what WSU has done when it's mattered the most in that time period.

And who cares if anybody rips Creighton here? They're no longer a member of this board/conference. If CU fans figured that out, none of this garbage would be dragging out into off topic BS.

Creighton has something Wichita really, really wants (the Big East and the money and prestige that comes with it). Wichita will try to discredit it to make themselves feel better about their current status.

Wichita has something Creighton really, really wants (final 4 and legitimate tournament success and fame). Creighton will try to downplay its importance and the MVC's status to make themselves feel better about it (along with hyping up the BEast).

You'll both be fine. You're both special in your own ways.
