Thanks. Proud of our guys. Nice games by our 2 freshmen in their D1 debuts. Tyler with 9 points and 9 rebounds. Ruder with 14 points.

Gulley, Pick, and Marshall with a nice game too. We have to hit our foul shots and rebound better though. We did both those things well down the stretch though.

Road wins are good wins. Old Dominion had a horrible season last year. I do know they did somehow beat UVA, implying there is at least talent there. I'm guessing off there performance tonight against IMO a good and improved MOSU that they are as well improved. Obviously this is all conjecture as it is November 8th. BUT Congrats on the the win Bears!

Nice win Bears. Ruder and Tmac looked good and played well.

A few stats:
Gulley 18pts,9rbs
McCullough 9pts,9rbs,2 blks
Marshall 18pts, 7 rbs
Pickens 6pts,9rbs,2 blks
Ruder 14 pts, 4/7 3pts.

Our freshmen all played pretty well. McCullough started slow but had some really solid moments and made his presence felt. Ruder is just such a weapon , unbelievably quick release. Thomas played a bit and had one really nice coast to coast and 1. Gulley is back , bad news for most others. Marshall had tough nite shooting with a few rimmers from deep, but as we expected, he will make a living at the foul line this year. Started 2 freshman and a sophomore.

Bears played tight, understandably, on the road with moocho newcomers; had great leaps tho, going up against pretty athletic ODU. Hope this game helps Lusk make decision on who to play more and who not to. Good win here 'cause performance was medicore considering Bears started two 5th senior. Do not care for how often there's little ball-movement....the way the offense is run. Still, Bears won in an OT rout.

Adieu, Addo.

One stat that popped out to me: Keith Pickens logged 36 minutes! Is that surprising Bear fans? I expected him to be a role player with limited minutes this season. Also, I see Addo didn't add much tonight. He visited ISUred during his re-recruitment, so I'm interested to see how he does. Was he recruited to fill the former void left when Keith walked away? Seems like an interesting story line if my timeline is correct.

Great win tonight!

That won't/can't happen often. I think pick will acerage closer to 15-20 minutes a game. Addo was bad last night, beyond bad.

Surprised me too. But Pick looks really healthy. He's such a stud in his all around game I'm sure it's going to be hard for coach to not play him a lot down the stretch in close games.

Have to say so far I'm disappointed in Adoo and Ron. Still a lot of time left and hopefully they will adjust and be contributors. We definitely need either Adoo or Kirk to step up and play well alongside and in relief of Tmac.

Despite that all 3 freshmen are better (more D1 ready) than we thought, and with Pick and Gulley back at full strength, and Marshall looking even better - I'm very optimistic about this year. :Yea!:

Great to see Pickens contributing so significantly after he brief "retirement". Also, the return of Jamar Gulley should make the Bears pretty formidable.
