Actually, by definition any game is just that. A game. They are called exhibition games, but they're still games. If they weren't games, then they wouldn't be called exhibition games because the word "games" is in there, so they were games. Words used goes a long way in clarity of communication. If you want to say regular-season games, that is one thing. Then you need to clarify that because that is being more specific than saying just games.
