I said this in an earlier post, but I like this team A LOT more than last years Aces team. Last year they ran literally 80% of the offense for Colt. Not so much this year, Balentine scores within the flow of the offense. Sad that there was only a couple thousand people at the game, Evansville missed out on a good game.

Not sure of the crowd but the largest so far. The Aces rocked the Ford tonight. It was a great win and a great product on the floor Aces tickets maybe harder to get sooner. Valpo will be a Challenge as much
as Mercer was,back to back winner of the Horizon League. Wednesday night 8:05 with BOOMER from the Pacers @the Ford

Aces beat a pretty good D1 team tonight. They turned up the defensive pressure in the second half, and ran Marty's motion offense to perfection. DJ is going to be better than Colt because the offense it is not set to get the ball to DJ every time down the floor. He gets his points within the flow of the game, and can drive to the basket, and get fouls, or hit the three if he has too. If you want to compete at the Ford Center this year, you better bring your A game. The story has yet to be written on how they will fare on the road.

The people there probably yelled and screemed, but from what I saw on Aces TV the ends were completely empty and the sides were only 3/4's full. Hopefully that will improve..

Officially it was 3600 and change. Actually a few less than the Martin Methodist opener (on a Saturday). That was one of my first comments when I got to my seat: this place is empty.
