Not necessarily disputing what you are saying, but I doubt you've watched the games.

You are correct. The eye test can help a fan see his team's strengths and weaknesses. Too many novices look at Ws and Ls and start with predictions. Too many other factors involved in determining how well a team will fare in conference play. One possession losses early on are not a good indicator. Also, teams gel at different speeds.

Exactly. I'm not suggesting that LU is tops in this league (or anything close to it). We've had some bad losses but it was not as though we were blown out or beaten from the tip. All of the losses were bad, no doubt about it, but there were some good things to come out of those losses. Regardless of my anger or threats to sit out the season, I still believe that LU can be a challenge for you all in conference play. Hopefully we are getting all the kinks out now. Time will tell.

Don't consider myself negative towards any particular school. I call em as I see them . I see some real positives so far this season. Wichita and ISUB look legit so far. Evansville has been a nice surprise and Drake has won 3 games out of 4 so that's a plus. I have only watched Loyola once but don't tell me I need to see them play every game to say they are struggling. Watching UNI right now and they seem to be more athletic then in years past but they lack size. Shooting also has been a problem early in the year.

Well, you must have only watched one half of that game. In each of the games that LU has lost this year, they have looked particularly good in one half and bad in the next. Do they have problems that need to be addressed? Absolutely. Are they as hopeless as you seem to be implying? Not even close.

UNI went 1-7 last year against non-con opponents in the RPI top 100.

So far this year, they are 0-2 against teams I would expect to finish in the top 100 (Ohio and Maryland). 0-3 if you are optimistic about George Mason.

JFC that is bad. Credit for playing some good teams, but let's try winning a few.

UNI hung around, but once Maryland got a bit of a gap they just couldn't quite catch back up. Maryland wins.

MVC goes 2-1 on the day

Too many easy buckets off of bad passes and poor shooting from outside today. Play the loser of Providence-La Salle tomorrow.

Yeah, sorry. We should be like Jank and schedule crap just to make ourselves feel good. Not. Rather play tough competition and try and better ourselves than to inflate a record just because.

Where did I say not to schedule good teams? Poor straw man effort.

Just frustrated with UNI's roughly 10% success rate over a large sample size as a fellow Valley fan who wouldn't mind an SoS boost once conference play starts.

I'm sure you are frustrated as well. Hopefully you can turn it around starting tomorrow and end the futility.

That's what I saw too...missed shots and bad passes lost the game.

Simmer down. He's just stating the facts. I don't think I saw anywhere we he said to schedule like Jank. You're probably frustrated right now (obviously). But he makes a solid point. Doesn't matter if you schedule up if you can't beat anybody. This was UNI's achilles' heel last year as well.
