Bears getting rolled tonight. Just not our night. Thurman and Addo played decent but that's about it.

This!

Still not sure who expected a different record for Bradley to start the season.

Agreed, they've taken care of business in games they were expected to win. This team is better than last year's. It's hard to say by how much, though. I watched them tonight at Carver and they pretty much won by letting Walt do what he does. UTPA was slow to get things going and heated up in the first half. Bradley's defense looked a little lost at times, which was a bit disconcerting against this team. I'll give them credit though, they tightened it up in the 2nd half and managed a 20 point win. Pickett looked strong and Grier seems like a nice addition that will fit well in this system.

There are two Braves I want to mention. KaDarryl Bell played his best game of the year, really need him off the bench. Second is Chris Blake. Blake won't score a lot, but the dude is always on the glass, and blocks shots.

As for Grier, he's known for his shooting, but I think he does a great job of getting to the rim. Good outing for him tonight

The Bears didn't help themselves with so many unforced errors

However...

They simply ran into a buzz saw tonight. Plain and simple.

I think anyone would have taken 1-1 in CC back in October, especially without two of your best players.

Looks like 4-3 for the valley on the day.

ISUr wins at San Francisco 90-76 to tie for tourney crown. 48% from field and 3pt. 15-16 from the line. Didn't get to hear or see feed. Sounds like our press caused some trouble and our zone d was so-so. Played a 4 guard lineup with out Middlebrooks.

Zach Lofton - 15 pt, 5 asst, 1 stl.
Paris Lee - 15 pt, 3 reb, 4 asst, 2 stl.
Bobby Hunter - 15 pt, 3 reb, 4 asst, 1 stl - off bench
Daishon Knight - 12 pt, 8 reb, 6 asst, 3 stl.
Nick Zeisloft - 14 pt, 7 reb, 1 stl.
Reggie Lynch - 10 pt, 2 reb, 2 blk. - off bench

Out rebounded again. Our 2 bigs combined for 5 of our 33 rebounds. The guards have showed to be aggressive here but we cannot have the bigs that absent on the glass once valley play starts. As usual, it sounds like we went thru a couple sloppy stretches and ended with 15 TO. Overall, nice to see them continue to mature and come together and hold a lead this time. 22 asst as a team was probably the best stat of the night. We have a team of shooters and it looks like they're starting to break out of that slump they were in the first 4-5 games. Looks like the trip to SF is what our guys needed. 44% or better each game and 2 games at 47% from 3. And, 84% from the line on the trip (49-58).

Next up is, the apparently deadly, Chicago St. on Wednesday.
