Interesting exception to the rule and one that carries over to the topic of at-large bids. I have said that December 6th is too soon to know with any certainty that the MVC is a one-bid league. The Cinderella season of Drake in 2007-2008 bears that out. Drake was the preseason pick to finish 9th. By December 6, they were 6-1 with wins over D3 Cornell College and D2 California San Diego. Which one of you not from Drake picked them to be good enough for an at-large bid on December 6, 2007? Show of hands?

Wasn't the mvc only a 1 bid league that year?

True. And that makes this year's one-bid predictions even sillier. Not only were they not given a chance at a bid before the season began, they were the only one to actually receive one. However, that was a great year for the MVC in the postseason with a record 6 teams participating in the various tournaments.

False. Just because a couple of terrible tournaments were invented and Valley teams participated doesn't mean the MVC had a great year in the postseason.

Dont hate one the CBI's and The CBE's!

There are way more than 64 teams that have a chance to win the NCAA tourney,

like the best 64 teams in the country are who get in the NCAA every yr.

I didn't mean to offend you. I was quoting from the MVC official website. Take it up with them. But if you were a 2008 WSU (11-20, 4-14) fan, I can see where you might still hold some bitterness at being left out of those terrible tournaments. Mercifully, some of that sting was lessened in 2009 when WSU accepted a bid to play in the terrible CBI.

Emenecker, Miller, Woodfox were all left off the pre-season All-Conference polls and later went on to win POY.

This is in the last 7 years.

The MVC has to say things like that. You know, like, "heyyyy, we invited Loyola --- They suck but they might be below average in 5-10 years with the proper investment, so get hyped for that."

Not sure what any of that has to do with WSU, other than your previously-noted obsession.

At this point there's a 0% chance that AnswerMan isn't just trolling. I just don't know if he came here with the intent to troll or if he just got served so many times off the bat he's resorted to carrying on an over-the-top shtick in an attempt to not look so stupid.

I thought this website was pretty strict about blatant trolling? Or is it only restricted from certain people or fanbases?

Color me confused.

Trolls don't spend any time on research. I spend most of my time on research. And I don't attack others with childish cartoons that demean the mentally-challenged. Obviously, if enough shocker thin skins sing the troll song, the administrator will bend like a wet noodle and ban me. I know how vigilante gangs operate. To fit in, I've decided to name the player who should but won't be named the MVC Player of the Year. D.J. Balantine will lead the MVC in scoring and be among the nation's leaders. He is currently 4th in the nation at 24.9 and 1st in the MVC. In the MVC, he will be in the top ten in assists with an outstanding assist to turnover ratio. He will be in the top 5 in FT%. Currently in the MVC, Balantine is 1st in scoring, 3rd in FT%, 5th in 3-pt FG%, 1st in 3-pt made, 5th in assists per game, and 1st in FG made. No other MVC player comes close to those figures in their totality. And where does he rank in your biased preseason poll? Dead last. How did you geniuses reach that conclusion?

As always you show you have no BBall IQ or you are a troll (or EU homer)

as soon as he played decent competition his numbers are not very impressive (24-67, 4-20 from 3). Plus EU won't challenge for the MVC championship.
