Well, after tonight's action, I think TheAnswerMan's argument took a severe hit.

If you the answerman would answer I believe it would by after March 9. Because you know UE, Bradley and Northern Iowa University has never lost a valley game yet and they might go undefeated the rest of the way. You never know right?

Personally I thought getting to New York in the NIT was better than a one and done in the ncaa tournament. But winning even one game in the ncaa tournament to me is better than winning the NIT. There is just no comparison in the media coverage of the big dance vs. the NIT.

The NIT has its pluses. Getting to see BCS teams play in your home arena is definitely nice. And the extra practice time can have some long term benefits. And if you can win the whole thing like WSU did (or even make it to the championship game) means you got 5 games against good competition on national TV. That is not a bad consolation prize.

Id say Insu chances have increased a lil but not by much. True test is at st louis and belmont back in terre haute. Hopefully Sycamores dont lose to IUPUI. The Valley of death is what really will hurt us I think. But I like what Lansing did this year. If you noticed he scheduled alot of away games this year bc we were a horrible road team last year even though we won @WSU. This hopefully prepares us for the Valley of Death! I would love to get more than 1 bid in and prove how much the Valley was NEVER defined by Creighton although they did have good attendance from fans. As of right now, I see only 3 teams have a chance getting an at large. WSU, MSU, and INSU. Drake has been a surprise but they dont have a real good solid signature win. Now if they beat WSU both times and finish top 3 and semi finals then that would have them on the bubble but that's a big IF.
