How is that move to the new conference going? Looks like it isn't helping your ranking.

I thought about adding CU here - just to reminist about old times....but it is not clear how long you will all still be getting votes the way it is going.

I for one will be in celebration when that happens. Lot of Shocker fans make them a team you can not cheer for, Valley or not.

Well, very few on this fine forum hold your views in high regard. Most of your posts reflect childishness.

However, I am sure others will join you in hoping for Shocker demise.

You might want to consider cheering for the Shox. Especially if you intend to ever pay a coach enough to make your program relevant. That money has to come from somewhere. Right now it is coming from WSU, and not really anyone else.

WSU being a quality program is one of very few things keeping the Valley marginally relevant this year. Hopefully teams in the league improve going forward and make the league strong again, but if you don't want to be playing in the 19th rated conference, you might want to rethink your position.

Isn't that the same guy who backed out on a bet in front of everyone? And he's the one proclaiming the hate?

I for one am glad to see a MVC team ranked as high as they are. Wish there were more. Now remember if you want to return to the Final Four you will need to lose to us at least once. (A joke)

Difference between WSU and SIU...money. WSU has the money to bring in someone that can sustain the program when needed and SIU couldn't fire Lowrey because they couldn't afford to.

You do realize I hope, that SIU made 6 consecutive NCAA appearances; right now you have two. Would seem prudent that before claiming superior sustainability you would probably need at least 5 more consecutive appearances. Not trying to rain on the current Shocker status, just reminding those who tend to forget how good SIU was for a sustained period.

In spite of all those appearances for SIU [SIU was 5-6 in the NCAA tournament during those 6 years (2xS16) ]. WSU has already made much more of impact. WSU is 4-2 in their 2 appearances. And over the last 8 years is 6-2 in the NCAA and has 1xS16, 1xF4 and then you can throw in NIT Championship.

We may or may not be at the standards of SIU but this article would make an outside argument for why the WSU basketball program is more sustainable. Look at #21 and in very nice company for retaining a good coach if necessary.
