There is also an above average chance that a team gets hot and knock them off.

I think even the most optimistic WSU fans would agree with that.

Statistically there is very, very little chance of any college basketball team ever going undefeated. WSU has as good of a shot as any team in the country of going undefeated ... that shot is just very bad.

You would've been able to say that at the beginning of the season, but now the chances of WSU going undefeated are no longer "insignificant," especially compared to everyone else.

Wichita: 6.8%
Ohio St: 0.5%
Arizona: 0.4%
St. Marys: 0.3%
Villanova: 0.1%
Wisconsin: 0.1%
UMass: 0.1%
Syracuse: 0.09%
Pitt: 0.09%
Oregon: 0.01%
Toledo: 0.01%
Iowa St: <0.01%
Missouri: <0.01%

I'm sticking with insignificant until they break 10%. 93.2% chance they lose a game is still a pretty dominant number.

I also agree with the premise that it is statistically improbable for any team, including WSU, to go undefeated throughout the year. Too many other factors go into games other than just the undefeated team playing.

I would venture out a guess and say WSU loses 2-4 games the rest of the way. I would definitely take a 27-4 regular season to the bank, making it a 4th consecutive year of 27+ wins for WSU, 5 straight 25+ win seasons.

The only way WSU loses 4 regular season games in the Valley this year is if our plane crashes and we have to forfeit.

I am not sure that the chosen cause for a loss was a good idea. Too many memories.

Have you been drinking again?

Stopped by to make a few random posts and see if I was still on probation. One post was in here and the other was in the attendance thread where I explained how the Valley will have 9 blackout/whiteouts this year, you're welcome, etc. etc. Of course they approve the post in here since it could be slightly offensive to WSU fans and disapprove the other post because it was slightly offensive to MVC fans. Who could have guessed? *sigh*

P.S. Why aren't you on Wheatshockers.com RDR? Are you boycotting my new home?

If I'm remembering right, we actually went down after our win last night.
