Drake Beats Albany 71-63

The Bulldogs beat Albany 71-63. Albany lost to Duke in last years NCAA Tourney and were a pretty tough team tonight. Richard Carter with another good night.

Not a great performance by Drake, but good enough for the win over a very scrappy Albany team. Drake went on an 11-0 run after Albany scored the first 2 points of the game, and the Bulldogs never trailed again.

Rich Carter led the way with 26, including the last 9.

How many times has Loyola had big early leads only to completely tank it in the second half and lose? What the hell is going on up there? Players running out of gas? Horrible second half coaching? No depth?

Drake continues to take care of business. Coach Giac is doing a very, very nice job in Des Moines.
