You just are a golden boy - right? Look at the title this thread. It funny you are quick to give criticism to other shocker fans, but you hardly practice what you preach. You have created many threads and title meant to tweek others. You might just change your monicker to "hypAARGHocrite".

I agree with Aargh. There are many reasons to be proud and excited about our team and our program. I don't have any issues bringing them up and discussing them with other fans that like to talk about basketball. There are many on here that feel it is their duty to educate the world on why WSU is special and why others are not. There are many on here that feel it is their duty to make WSU understand that they are currently experiencing fortuitous circumstances and are waiting for Karma to smack Wushock in the face.

I just want to talk basketball and enjoy the season. I do my best to try and avoid those with agendas, but sadly I struggle not to respond.

By the way, the Shockers look like they start 5 studs right now!

It can be very difficult to tolerate the posters of a top-10 team. Some of us will let the team's accomplishments speak for the Shox. We will be outnumbered by the others.

Oh, youre just so humble.

Sure it is. You come and complain that WSU is not scheduling hard enough when your school doesn't have their stuff together. The fact will always remain that WSU non-conference schedule is not the limiting factor, but having to play teams like EU, twice.

Was completely unaware that Eastern, Emory, Elon, or Everest Universities were members of The Missouri Valley Conference.
When did any of them join?

Oh, you are so humble.

I most certainly am not!

I see no problem with pointing out WSU's achievements. Perhaps the topic of this thread was haughty, but when a team is coming off of W's over Tennessee and Alabama, a W over North Carolina Central is a bit ho-hum. And, yet, I take heat for being arrogant by stating what I think is an honest attitude. The result of WSU/NCCU only avoids ho-hum status if the Shox lose.

This year I realize a lot of fans of Valley teams don't have a lot to cheer for, so I'm going to try to look for bright spots and not pile on when some teams have unexpected losses. I followed WSU through the '90's when that was WSU's fate.

I'm still going to pile on Illinois State. The Jackie Carmichael karate kick/Ford/Hawkins/security guards at the locker rooms/felony arrests/ineligibilities just provides way too much temptation for me to resist.

You can make fun of Illinois State and Bradley all you want.

No! No! Not Bradley!!! That would be cruel. Bradley fans already have to put up with Tornado. Add to that their team was projected to be a solid upper-half team and not they're staring at an invitation to St. Louis on a Thursday night.

How much does a fanbase have to bear before we call off the dogs (or dawgs - as the case may be)?
