The team is playing better then I thought we would...Hopefully the Birds don't have the Christmas break hangover. As good as the Bears are I'm drinking the Kool-Aid

Looking forward to a competitive game tonight. It would appear that the Birds are beginning to figure it out and I'm sure will bring it tonight against the Bears. In the end though, I think MSU will protect their home court in this one and win by 5 or 6.

I'm picking ISU, because I believe the RedBirds tough non-con schedule has prepared them well for MVC play, while Mo-State on the other hand has had a fairly soft non-con schedule...

My worries for the RedBirds is the potential "Christmas Break Hangover" after coming off a big win against DePaul.
Last time we came off a 8 day break and big win against #25 Dayton the RedBirds came out completely flat against Oakland and lost a very winnable game.
Hopefully history doesn't repeat itself and we come out with some fire and intensity.

Also Mo-State has had a chance to knock the rust off after the break because they played Saturday against SeMo.

I don't understand your response. I'm as confused as you are.

I just said we had some quality opponents in the non-conference, while the Bears haven't.

I said I also hope we dont come out flat after our break, like we did against Oakland.

Hope that clears up any confusion.

I just think "tough non-conference schedule" and "big win against DePaul" are kindof oxymoronic. But, it appears that is where we are as a conference.

I'll be rooting for State in this one.

Interested to see how this one turns out. I like MSU at home, but I don't really know what we have in either of these teams yet.

OK. I feel where you are coming from now, it is kind of an oxymoron...

DePaul is a big win for us because they are now a Big East team.
So that gave the Birds wins against a Big 10 team(NorthWestern), Big East team(DePaul), and a top 25 team(Dayton).
I dont think this has ever been done by the RedBirds in a single season, so it was big for us in that sense combined with the fact that we needed wins no matter who they came against.
