You know Junior is 38min a game for three more yrs and Balentine 38 min for 2 more. Not counting the losing that will continue under Marty ( i know they beat a 5-15? SIU team," hes turning it around" now)

What other D1 program would Junior average 38 min a game? i dont think he would even get it at NJIT or Savannah St

BAN him, he has nothing to offer this forum.

Why don't you tell us which parts of his post are wrong? Ballentine and Simmons are both going to see 38 plus minutes for the rest of their careers at UE. Ballentine is a nice player but hardly the steal many think he is. There are tons of D1 players that could put up his stats given his minutes and an entire offense set up for them. Simmons will get a few stats with all the minutes but most of them will come against really weak competition.

I agree. Such a bizarre obsession with a decent freshman. Gibson doesn't even play the same position.

I hate to see a player openly bashed on a forum like this too. BUT I have to say in the games I've seen Evansvile play Blake Simmons doesn't look like a D1 player to me. Maybe theres something I'm not seeing though.

What about allowing the player to develop along the way to see how well he plays in the future?

I agree. He could certainly develop and improve. I was just giving an opinion that his game doesn't seem D1 ready at THIS point in time.

Fair, you understand. My frustration is that most Freshman do not have a D1 ready game early in their Freshman year and have to grow and develop into the level of play. My son redshirted his first year because he was not strong enough with the ball offensively and was considered too weak defensively. My point: we have to suffer through Blake's development now so we can benefit from his talent the next 3 years.

Is Ballentine and Simmons minutes going to diminish that much later in the career?
Typical longtime UE supporter got those blinders on and think that Simmons is entitled to a 200-400k a yr job in basketball because he was a fan favorite 2 seasons 30 yrs ago.

what you mean is I dont offer loving support for your almighty after 7 years of...... well.......nothing. 7 years!

I bet you 10k that if UE hired Calbert Cheney or Steve Forbes the real attendance would double and the Aces would be in a real postseason(NIT or NCAA) by year 4.

I bet every player on the bench is wondering why they aren't getting 38 minutes a game to develop for the future.

If someone was complaining about how little time a player was getting; you would say the player isn't earning more time. You talk out of both sides of your mouth.
