Like I said earlier I have Early - 1, Odum - 2, FVV - 3, Baker - 4. In my opinion, Odum only gets it if Early slips production or gets hurt, and FVV gets it only if Early slips and Odum gets hurt.

I agree with the above on where we are at today, but there is a lot of things that can change over the last 14 games.

Lynch is currently starting for ISUr and I think he will continue to do so based on current personnel.

I'll throw out another nominee for 6th man:

Darius Carter is averaging 7.9 points and 4.9 rebounds in 19 minutes per contest. He did start 5 games and he hasn't been playing as well in MVC play as he was in the second half of the non-con, but he is on the verge of making a play for the award. I would currently vote Buss and Smith ahead of Carter.

Give me lots more carter! MSU had no answer for him. Thought Marshall played into MSU's hand by sitting him.

Wow I didn't see it that way at all. I didn't think we could handle Lufile in the post at all. Although Tmac played him better than Kirk did. He only had 6 points but the few times he got it on the block he looked unstoppable. I thought we matched up better with Carter. Lufile had 9 boards. Carter had 1.

Carter had foul trouble in the MSU game and never really got going. Racked up 2 or 3 tough-luck hustle fouls and didn't have much of a chance to see the floor (14 minutes, 5PF, 8pts). I was more impressed with MSU's options in the post than I anticipated. It may have helped that MSU was bombs-away from 3, and the Shox were playing catch-up the entire game, but I was impressed nonetheless.

Jalen Pendleton could be considered. 11.8 pts and 4.2 rb off the bench.

I'd bet he is the starter by the end of the season. His minutes have started spiking up and he is consistently getting around 25+ minutes. He's a good player and I figured he was already starting. If he continues to come off the bench then he is certainly in the conversation as well, although being on the Saluki's hurts his case
[Insert snappy comeback]

Agree about SIU hurting his case. Hinson has said that Jalen will come off the bench all year. He likes the spark he provides.

Also who yall think will win Most improved? Thoughts? I guess we could compare last season stats to the current stats for players. For Ind st, it would be between Justin Gant and K. Smith. Both have improved there offensive game alot. Gant O-production wasnt greatlast season bc half the shots he gets now were going to Mahurin (then he transfer to play with his brother to a NAIA school, WTF) Wont complain tho bc we dont seem to miss him at all.
