If UNI can get to 14-4 and get 1 in StL, they are, at worst, in the conversation. Hold on to leads against Milwaukee and Iowa State and we're in really good shape... :Bam:

I hate to say it but UNI's destiny will be in the hands of the Selection Committee. :duel:

Why would you hate to say it? It's a scientific fact that any team that doesn't win their conference auto-bid has their fate in the hands of the committee. ;)

Lunardi has his new bracket out. WSU still a #2 seed, but I would assume he has them as the first #2 seed since they are matched with Wisconsin in the south. Indiana St not mentioned, could change if they can pull the upset on Saturday.

That's not quite how it works with 2 seeds in the bracket, but I think you're right anyways. Best of the 2 seeds. Teams get placed on geographic priority, not based on who the 1 seed is in the bracket. Wichita getting sent to Memphis to play indicates they get geographic priority.

I guess I should also say with Villanova in the east and Florida's position, Wichita could be anywhere from 5th to 7th.

For Shocker fans, if you care about the St Louis regional, you're dodging bullets right now. Louisville is floundering (for them), Kentucky slipped early, and the SEC is terrible this year, which means they might not get the help they need. Don't forget Kansas. I think a 26-7 Kansas team with a Big 12 title and the magic bullet of the #1 SoS would outflank a 33-0 Wichita St team on the S-Curve. Just warning you now.

WSU should definitely root for the Big 12 to beat each other up. A lot. That would not only clear up a spot on the 1 line, it would clear a rather clean St Louis/Memphis path to the final four.

Lunardi tells us every week exactly where everyone is at on his S Curve.

Wichita State is Number 5. http://insider.espn.go.com/mens-college ... basketball

It's possible. You're obviously more experienced in this than I am.

I'm hardly worried about that happening, though.

Wichita fans should start to prepare to see their team on the 1 line.

Full disclosure, I still have them on the 2 line, behind Michigan St and Villanova, but I suspect others won't. This is going to be an agonizing 2 months scoreboard watching teams right behind you.

Indiana St still in play. Keep the faith. Everyone else can go ahead and give up, though.
