Lemon and FVV are being asked to do 2 completely different things for their 2 teams. Comparing stats is a starting point but context matters.

This is so silly. Nobody outside of a few Bradley fans (namely, Bradleyfan1 whose posting history here is, well, pathetic) and the purple teenager have said that they prefer Lemon to FVV.

WSU fans should let it die.

Coach Ford's opinion on who is the best point guard in the league.
Go the 2:30 for his comment.

Back to Walt vs FVV because really they are both amazing and deserve to have discussions like this about them.

Walt is better! .................First off hes a SR! This is and always will be a SR driven league. ;)
He also takes the opponents best defender every game.
He also does not have the supporting cast that FVV has......If you give WLJ............. ,Early and Baker and the guy is getting 20 assists a game.
I promise Mr Marshall and every other coach in the league would love to have Walt added to the club.
He would thrive in Gregs system....specifically when pressing.
Along with all of the for-mentioned benefits/advantages of being FVV but, ALSO Walt never gets a call......he should have shot at least 15 more free throws this yr.

Walt shoots 41% overall
FVV shoots 48% over all

74% FT for Walt
83% for FVV

Walt is 28% from 3
FVV is 45% on only 44 shots vs 52 for Walt

Assists 67 for Walt and Shout out to FVV hes got 94 dimes so far.........See Baker and Early comment above and............ add the BU shooting % in the mix ......... Do you get the point?

To's again goes to FVV but facing the best defender on a every night basis and trying to do to much ;/
69 for Walt only 21 for FVV.

Both get about 4 rebounds a gm....this is where I have been most disapointed w/ Walt this yr......Hit the glass and then push the ball......shoot layups.....run layup drills all day.

Steals
39 for Walt
34 for FVV

The worst I feel is behind BU and Walt this yr and tomorrow night I predict he blows up and helps everyone of these categories the rest of the way!

FVV is a beast a tip of the cap sir!

But hes not Walt!

So basically all of those stats support that FVV is the better PG. Thanks for that lol.

As far as the supporting cast making FVV a better player statistically it's a pretty silly argument. It's basically a "chicken or the egg" argument. You can also say that FVV makes everyone else a better player by being a great PG. So that does NOTHING to help support your argument.

Walt is a good player but right now FVV is clearly a better PG.

I guess reading is a challenge in Wichita. This is what I said.....

Based on the stats that were provided. I would choose Lemon, I would guess most others would too without watching either playing. BUT having watching them then I would take FVV. I hope you and all your Wichita cronies can understand this.

To be honest I think everybody is confused on your reasoning than over your actual pick. Forget the success and lack of success, I would say depending on your type of offense would depend which one you choose. I would choose Walt maybe in a pick n roll type offense and FVV in a motion type offense. How's that?

The funny thing is that even the stats favor FVV over Walt to even a lay person. The only reason Walt averages more points is that he takes A LOT more shots to get his points. Given the same amount of shots, I'm sure FVV could put up his share of points. But WSU's offense isn't based solely on one player and one person jacking up shots. That's why even the stats favor FVV.

So that lame excuse by the purple teenager doesn't fly. His whole point was to pick a player over a WSU player to rile up WSU fans. It's trolling 101 and he does it whenever possible. What I don't understand is why a site geared to getting rid of trolls continues to allow it.

VanVleet tends to be in most discussions of the best guards in the nation.

Lemon tends to be in most discussions of the best guards in the MVC.

Any further questions?

Baller, I am not trolling one bit. I am not and never was trying to start an argument. Some Shocker faithful love to put words in people's mouth or twist things around.
