The better question is...would ISU crack the top 25 with a win over the Shockers...

No. It might get you some votes, but ISUB is not on the radar.

This will be a barn burner. The thing about Indy State is Arop seems to hit 3's when they can damage you the most. If that isn't bad enough just when you don't expect it, Gant can hit them. Impresses me.

I'm sure the Sycamore folks could verify, or not, my thought that Odum is more in-control going to the hoop and passing this year. Not that he hasn't been good in the past, just seems better to me.

Since WSU is number 5, that's all that needs said. The Shockers could be 3 or higher when they roll into Des Moines.

13-15 would be my guess.

I'm a huge fan of point guards, so I can't wait for this one. Fred Van Vleet and Jake Odum are both incredibly talented true PGs and I'm really looking forward to their matchups this year. Arop and Gant are both usually impressive as well.

Indiana State is tough to predict, though. I feel like they don't always play up to their ability. If they bring their full game to this one, they have a good shot at the upset.

I'm really hoping for a win but trying to be realistic and hoping for a close competitive basketball game with some good national exposure for the Valley...I think the Syc's have a much better chance at sneaking a win in the Hulman Center as opposed to this one at Koch but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Go Trees!

Enviroment not a prolblem...we won their last year. Only player that hasnt been there is Moore.

I don't think that's going to be an advantage for the Trees. I think it's going to be easier to beat the Shox this year by sneaking up on them and surprising with determination and 40 minutes of solid ball than by beating them with talent and confidence.

There is no difference between basketball and life. Give both your best and ignore the "fans" on the sideline.

I think if this was in Terre Haute ISU might have a chance. I really just don't think someone is going to sneak up on WSU in Koch. I suspect the Shox win by around 6-10 points.

That's the beauty of the MVC...the Sycamores will apparently have a "chance" on Feb. 5th

I guess it depends on how much the voters respect (or lack of respect) the ISUB program. The more lack of respect they have the more WSU would drop.
