Regardless of the final score today the Valley has learned something very important. If you aren't preparing for Nate Buss and Ron Mvouika, you're in for a frustrating day. These guys came to play in their first starts and are going to be stalwarts in the lineup for the rest of their careers.

Gavin Thurman shoves Washpun in the back and 6' Wes still nearly grabs the board. 88-83 with 35 seconds left.

Officials miss the MSU guard going out of bound and Ruder hits a 3. Tuttle sinks 2 FT's, Mvouika picks up foul #5, Washpun blocks a shot and makes a great hustle play to throw the ball of a Bear player. Panthers shooting more FT's.

92-86 with under 10 seconds left

This game was way more exciting when UNI wasn't shooting FT's. Great game, Panthers win 94-89. All offense today folks.

Great offensive game for both teams! One of the best non-Shocker games I've seen all year!

Nice win for UNI. Really good well played game IMO. Both teams showed a lot of ability.

I like watching Tuttle play. He's so smart. If Buss continues to play like that UNI will be tough to beat especially at home.

Even though we lost I feel lot better about the rest of our season without Marshal. Mvouika and Tmac showed up and played up to their capabilities. If they do that we'll win games.

I have trouble seeing a player score in double figures for the first time against a D1 team all season and saying "Well, he's clearly ready to go and we'll ride him to a good rest of the season".

At least with Buss and Tuttle they've done it all season

I didn't say we could "ride them the rest of the season". And I wasn't comparing them directly to Tuttle and Buss? That remains to be seen.

But both are playing their 1st year of D1 ball and both have a lot more ability than they've shown to date. I'm sure neither will play out the rest of this year's games as well as this one. But I choose to believe the light came on for both today and they will continue to play well and at least partially make up for the loss of Marshall.

We'll see what happens.
