Speaking of which, setting aside my own love for WSU and looking at this objectively ... I don't remember ever seeing an atmosphere better than that in the MVC. I've rarely seen one better as an ACC fan.

The alternating gold and black sections was extremely well done and came off great on TV.

How do you get the fans to dress in black or gold? Coordinate ahead of time based on ticket sales, give away t shirts??

Sir, the ticket office sent out an email to all ticket holders with a colored section key and at the Bradley game flyers were placed on every seat with the same color code key as to which section wears what color. It actually worked quite well.

What an incredibly disappointing game. I did not expect the Sycs to win in Wichita. I did, however, expect them to compete for more than 20 minutes. WSU showed that they are in a class of their own defensively on the inside. The Sycamores responded by having their worst outside shooting game of the year. That first 8 minutes of the 2nd half was just textbook from the Shockers. It was impressive to watch.

Well done, Shockers. See you in Terre Haute in two and a half weeks. Hopefully you gave our guys the wake up call they needed.

Indiana State is still as good as everyone thought they were before this game, but this Shocker team is more focused, more milestone-oriented and locked in than any team I have seen in a long, long time. They find some goal or record to set and use that to drive them, almost like an obsession.

Right on. ISU got a lesson in what it takes to compete at a Final 4-type level. Would've thought they've been battle-tested enough recently that they knew, but it was clear they weren't up to the task. You cannot have slip-ups, cannot be indecisive and slow on the interior. You have to battle like crazy on the boards. It's incredible how WSU has reached such a level of intensity and focus, this is the type of growth every program aims for, but few really can achieve. Enjoy every minute of it Shocker fans, this team is on some kind of ride and is earning everything they get.

I would REALLY like for this to be an ongoing thing. Coordinating one game is a bit of effort, but making Koch Arena permanently color-coordinated wouldn't be too much more difficult. You just keep doing what you just did.

Having those alternating colored sections as a permanent aspect of the Koch Arena atmosphere would be great and really create the kind of viewing experience TV networks want.

This is the closest the Shox have come to playing a 40-minute game all year. There were probably 5 - 10 minutes of play below what the Shox are capable of in every previous game.

This is what the Shox look like when they play all 40 minutes. It is a statement of respect for the Trees that they got the Shox undivided attention for all 40 minutes with no letup. Indiana State got more respect from WSU than Tennessee, St. Louis, BYU, or Alabama.

The bad news for the Sycs is that they got beat pretty badly. The good news is that they had the 100% attention from the #5 team in the nation.

It's a little hard to understand playing a legitimate top-5 team in league play in the Valley. This year, playing WSU is the equivalent of playing Illinois, Indiana, or Kansas when those teams are having good years. You would expect to get beat - maybe by 20 - on those teams home courts when they're having a good year. It's a little harder to accept when a team at that level happens to be in the MVC.

Kiss the ring, Sycamore Psycho, jturner and other smack talking ISUb fans. We got you this afternoon. We got you good.

I will be rooting hard for ISUb except for the game in early February the rest of the way. Good luck.

Call me crazy, but I do not expect a blow-out again in the return game. If the Trees win, I will not be surprised at all.

The Trees will shoot much better in the home game.

In is hard to believe that Arop only had 4 points in 26 minutes. Every time I see him play, he has a big game.

In the return game, the challenge for the Trees is deep paint play. The Tree bigs were castrated today. It was almost manslaughter. I am not sure how the Trees will cope with the Shocker bigs other than doubling down more.

I have a question about travel. Did the team fly from Terre Haute?

Amazing defense by WSU today. Shox showed the separation of the league. Trees are good but just aren't Top 5 good. Stellar effort today.

CKA looked awesome. And yes, it's even more amazing that t-shirts weren't handed out and instead everybody knew what they were doing. Pretty sweet.

Go Shox!

Don't forget about FearDaTrees. He basically said WSU was overrated and basically a fringe Top 25 team.

Go figure the ones that talked the most smack are the ones that are silent tonight.

Thanks to the classy Sycamore fans who have come over and offered congrats. Hopefully, ISU will bulldoze the rest of the way through the Valley (outside of the 5th).
