On the teleconference today Greg Marshall was asked if his team could compete w/ the Elite teams.

He responded like a boss! Part of the response was who is Elite? Villinova???

I could tell he has a chip on his shoulder.........But, what was this reporter thinking....Obviously the Shock are a ELITE program!

Gotta give "the Boss" credit. He is not afraid of achievement or success on the biggest scale there is.

Back in the day when Mark Turgeon was the coach, you liked the fact that people told him he couldn't win a state title in high school, that he couldn't play D1 ball, that he wasn't good enough to lead a team anywhere, on and on. He fought that and won. But, he put limits on himself at WSU and/or allowed others to convince him, for the first time in his life, that he couldn't achieve at the highest level of D1 at WSU.

Marshall takes those suggestions of limits or a ceiling and spits in their face and relishes in the opportunity to rub the spit in their face so that it cannot be washed off.

He fans those flames in the fanbase like no other. At the InSU game Saturday, there was a palpable feeling in the arena like a feeding frenzy in shark-infested waters. A 28-point lead was cool, but the crowd wanted more. If Gregg would have taken the PA microphone at that moment and asked the now-famous "Are You Satisfied?" question, the governor might have had to call out the National Guard.
