WSU fans have the farthest drive. They also have the largest number attending. I would think that the venue would be the problem when WSU fans stop coming.

Good point...I would have thought WSU would have sold more by now, but thinking about it and talking to some other people who normally go, they are saving their money for the NCAA tournament especially since WSU has a pretty good chance of being in St. Louis the first weekend of the NCAA tourney.

I am not completely opposed to a venue change, even living in STL but if WSU fans really want to press the issue, they would need to boycott.

In all seriousness, if WSU ever does leave the conference, where does Arch Madness go?

Attendance in St. Louis would be absolutely abysmal.

Its cyclical (WSU excluded), SIU finishes top 5 in conference next year and people will soon be complaining that SIU is practically playing a home game.

All the more embarrassing that there have been NO SIU fans there the past few years.

I would offer that alot of Shocker fans have realized that there is no benifit in buying tickets up front with the way MVC and WSU allocates seat. MVC gives each an equal amount of quality seats and for schools who buy the most will actually get some of the poorest seats. WSU allocates their best seats by SASO points, so unless you have alot of points your going to get stuck with less than good seats. You will see WSU fans taking advantage of the "family 4 pack" and sitting in the upper deck or purchasing individual game seats.

In all seriousness, why would someone who doesn't live in STL like me take 3 vacation days to watch their team get blown out on Thursday?

Where do you live that you need three vacation days for the Valley tourney? I live in Wichita and can take half a day on Thursday and all day Friday. Even after the championship game you are home by 10.
