Aces win by a basket.
There is no difference between basketball and life. Give both your best and ignore the "fans" on the sideline.

It shouldn't have been that close after the lead they built up. Now they need to get ready for Norfolk State as a tune-up for Wichita St on the 29th. The Valley wars are soon to begin!

Ugh. The officials wanted to be the stars of the game.

55 personal fouls called, 64 free throws attempted, four players fouled out.

I think the margin of victory would have been much greater if the officials could have gone more than 15 seconds without making some call. :duel:

But we were the beneficiary of the imbalance of fouls with a 35-12 FTM margin.

I don't know how you think the margin would have been bigger since UE had a 43 to 21 free throw advantage over MTSU.

I feel like the offense would have been able to score 30 points without the excessive charity of the officials. For a player, it's hard to keep the head in the game when free throws are called for almost every time down the court.

Am I still in left field? I know it sounds weird to complain about the officals when they were heavily in my team's favor.

Although UE didn't score but 1 basket in the last 7+ minutes they hang on for the win with 81+% free throw shooting. With UE up 21 points it sounds like MTSU put them to the line everytime they got the ball in the second half.

55 fouls throughout the game 33 by MTSU.

UE pulls it out for a win

Good Win ACES

A win is a win, but for the last 10 minutes of the first half and first 10 of the second half we played very well. Just couldn't keep it going through the finish. It is nice to see that we have been able to pull out these close wins at home this year....last year no way we pull this out. The refs were very inconsistent, but MTSU is the type of team that causes this....simply put, the refs aren't going to call a foul on every possession, but they could on MTSU because their defense consists of grabbing and pushing constantly. Overall Im happy........except I really wish UE could have held on to win by more than 6 1/2
