Weren't many on this forum stating Evansville and their grabbing would be a big problem under the new rules? Nothing to see here, called as the new rule states.

Add "the refs blew the game" to the constant excuse by the opponents' fans. Goes right along side the "We just didn't shoot well tonight or we would have won" excuse that many teams like to use lol.

Looked like another double digit win. The SHOX only out scored Evansville by 29 after Evansville's initial burst. And that was after the walkons gave up a few points a the end of the game.

Onto the next . Gonna be a tough week this next week for the SHOX.

A couple of the fouls on Mock were terrible.

The fact that Evansville is allowed to run that offense and not foul out on illegal screens is WAY worse.

Why? Can't take your refs with you?

I give the Shockers credit for being a very good team....I have watched them play all year, when possible. I will not give them credit for winning this game with their normal skilled play...this win was, indeed, as much a result of the reffing as it was WSU's admittedly-good play.

My Aces have a long way to go to be as good a team as the Shockers, but today they played as well and had to combat bad calls, calls that kept our guys on the bench, calls that sent Shockers to the free throw line, and calls that simply were uncalled on our end of the floor.....no one is saying UE is better than the Shockers...but it would have been a truer test had the refs not teamed up with the home team.

Absolutely.

I'm glad we have such a non-homer here to set us right. I mean, you were the guy that credited Evansville's 14 FT advantage for the win @SIU, right? That was a six point win. Clearly biased officiating is the only reason you won that game. But you of course know that.

7 FT advantage over Loyola in a five point game. Unfairly called.

19 more FTs than Bradley shot, in a three point game? Lord knows you were the first one on here crying from the rafters that you didn't deserve to win that 6 point game if it wasn't for home cooking.

Hell, Evansville had a 20 FT advantage over Grambling State. Unfairly called.

Miami (OH)? 16 FTs advantage. Unfairly called.

Oh, wait. I forgot. FT advantage only matters when your team loses. Then it's unfairly called. When you shoot 20 more FTs than Grambling State, or 19 more than a conference team you're in direct competition with for a Thursday night spot, it's just because your team is better.

The refs had nothing to do with who won the game. We got away with some grabbing.
There is no difference between basketball and life. Give both your best and ignore the "fans" on the sideline.

:+1:

I thought there were a few bad calls that went our way, but there almost always is for the home team. That's part of why it's tough to win on the road. Both teams got away with fouls and both benefited at points.

Oh come on. I haven't even mentioned that Evansville beat us at home last year on the back of an 18 free throw disparity.

Evansville: 20/31
Wichita State: 11/13

I'm guessing Sect won't be bragging about that win in the future, considering it's invalidated by biased officiating.

Phantom calls on Mock, the last one being absolutely unbelievable!

"Continuation" call that gave Baker two points...after he took two steps AFTER whistle blew...then got to shoot a free throw!

I am not saying UE would have won the game, but we would have had a real fair chance if the officiating had been fair. Their starters had very few fouls. UE had to play without Mock most of the game, and had at least two starters foul out.

WSU did not play as well as they normally do, and the Aces played tough, especially the first 10 minutes. Without the calls that the Shockers got they could have possibly lost this game.

All season long I have never complained about officiating, but this game was a farce! I am very proud of my Aces and their effort!

You must have missed every possession where your beloved Aces hit WSU with moving screens.
