He's kind of like the Jason Perez of WSU. Such a nice player, but on such a bad team.

Good comparison. Did Perez ever get post season accolades?

Please don't insult Jason Perez by comparing him to Balentine.

In his SR year, Perez lead the league in scoring, was 3rd in rebounds and was 4th in steals. As a SO, he had 5.5 rebounds per game (12th) and 2 steals per game (5th).

Balentine is a great scorer, but he will not be the all around player that Jason was.

maybe, maybe not. Regardless they are still have similarities even though they might be some slight differences - both are good players (all league in opinion of others), but play on bottom dwellers of the MVC.

It takes a team to win, not an individual. For all what Jason Perez accomplished, he still finished 8th and 9th his final 2 years at WSU.

The problem with that plan is that if an opponent drives on Mockeviscius, you can take him out of the game because he will foul at a rate of about 1 every 5 minutes when challenged inside.

It's got to make some kind of a statement when the leading scorer in the league is on a team tied for last. Please don't pull the "we're so young" card. UE wouldn't be "so young" if not for all the player defections.

Aargh, I will give one thing. You at least know how to spell Balentine.

Agreed that they are not similar players, but both had remarkably good stats on poor teams. Balentine is leading the league in scoring as a sophomore. For the purposes of the question asked, they are similar in that they are both statistically excellent, but that has not lead to wins and may not lead to individual accolades.

Ah yes, but it doesn't exceed the limits of civility.

You can't say that with certainty when Balentine is just a sophomore. You are comparing him to Perez's senior year so it's not a valid comparison.

I mentioned Perez being 12th in the conference with 5.5 rebounds per game and 5th in the conference with 2 steals per game...as a sophomore.
