more the better, shockers players seem to thrive on hostile crowds and baker said he loves engaging vocal student sections.

ISU thrives at home. The Sycamores are 45-10 (9-0 this season) at home since Lansing took over. I don't think it will be a blowout on either side but this game has a very familiar feel that the Creighton game did last year when they came into the Hulman Center ranked 16th. Sycamores won 76-57. I can only hope that happens this evening.

Shox are 32-9 (which is #1 in the country) for true road games the last 3+ years and are 7-0 this year. Should be a great game.

WSU has the best road record over the last 3 years in the nation (33-8). I have no predictions but it doesn't sound like the environment going to be that hostile (as other venues in the MVC have either sold out or nearly sold out).

I expect ISUB will come out pumped up and will play hard. If they are hitting their shots I wouldn't be suprised to see them with a 10+ point lead early on. The real question is will they sustain it for 40 minutes? If they can they will have a chance on winning. If they don't sustain it then I expect WSU will handle them like they did in Wichita.

Things I will look for is Lufile/Carter having good games? If they are it could be a long night for ISUB.

Is Early on or off his game? WSU got very little contribution from him in Wichita.

If ISUB is hitting their 3's, can WSU match it? Neither team really shot well from 3 in Wichita.

One aspect that doesn't get enough comment or attention is WSU's conditioning level. The Shox wear opponents down. By the ends of games, Shox opponents don't resemble what they looked like at the start of games. The Gme at MSU is the most obvious example of that.

Shox opponents start games pumped and going at it hard, while the Shox often appear to be on cruise control, or maybe even coasting in neutral. Then about 12 minutes into the game, the intensity of the press goes from light to insane. Some teams are out of gas at that point. Others survive that, but seem to lose intensity at the half-time break. By the end of the game, many Shocker opponents look like they're still "competing", but they're so fatigued that they just want to get off the court.

Attrition is a big part of how the Shox have stayed undefeated this year. If you have any doubts about this, go ahead and ask Cuonzo Martin.

Lansing has never beat Wichita State at home, he currently is 0-3 against them in Terre Haute

Interesting....I don't remember Lansing taking that first shot.

Glad to hear the Shockers made it safely and that the game will not be postponed. From what I've heard it should be a great crowd. Really hoping for a Sycamore win but realistically just hoping for a close game. Go Trees!

that'll be what we need to watch for tonight from ISU, can they play 40 full minutes without the "lulls" we typically see in ISU games. With a large crowd now expected maybe ISU will finally play a full 40 minute game at 100% effort and get the "W", almost game time!

reading up on twitter, etc... it appears we may push 9000 or higher, it's been a LONG time since HC saw that many actual people attend a game
