ISUb has the same problem as most WSU teams in the past - too much balance. It doesn't easily translate to post season awards. WSU has a clear 2 headed monster with Baker the clear 3rd choice that will prob make 2nd team. I'd rather have wins that post-season individual awards any day.

I think this is pretty accurate.

I still struggle with the fact that I left R Carter, Doyle, Knight and Mitchell off the second team. Those four are within the same "pool" and could easily replace others that I currently listed.

Which means the only thing left is to seperate by team success. I dont see anything else you can make a distinction from. I feel whoever of the list of names we came up with that dont make it, will get honorable mentioned.

IF, I repeat IF, WSU manages to run the table, and Baker has any kind of game down the stretch, I'm not sure how he or Cotton stay off 1st team.

Not one coach takes Ballentine over Baker. Maybe Simmons, but that's why his team is 7 games behind Baker's team. I can see offense over defense with Cotton but still, you want to win, right?

18-0 gets you 3 guys, imho.

I haven't seen one award mentioned in this thread, so I'll bring it up and start a whole new discussion.

I like Lufile. Buss was looking good until the injury. Carter at Drake? Balentine?

You are wrong. Early, FVV, Baker and Cotton on 1st team? No. That will never happen. Period. 3 is iffy already but 4? Not a chance. 1st team is not based on who would you rather have. If it was Im sure EVERYBODY would choose Baker over Ballentine. But I feel like if they switched teams would they put up each other's numbers.

This is a hard one. I think You can add Cummings, K. Smith, and Gant from INSU on the list as well. Not sure who is the most improved. Maybe compare this year's and last year's stats?

I never know what metric they use for judging this award. I think if you are just looking at guys stat changes, based primarily on more minutes than their previous season, FVV would be a front-runner.
