18 of WSU's 2nd half points thus far have been scored by Cotton and Carter.

Fred and Cle check back in. Finally.

Cotton finding his stroke again. Wiggins and Wessel need to find theirs.

Man, WSU has the #1 scoring defense in the conference ... and the #1 scoring offense?

In the 21 statistical categories on the MVC site, WSU is #1 in 14 of them. And our road attendance is just shy of 2k over the second best home attendance in the conference. http://www.mvc.org/mbb/stats/CONFLDRS.HTM

In other news, SIU has a two game lead on UNI in conference.

Nice effort from UNI tonight. They played with a lot of heart. The McCloud Center looked great, but crowd was silent for the last 15.

I'm bit shocked by the standings. If Bradley can beat Evansville in Peoria, UNI has sole possession of 7th place.

It's starting to look like UNI is going to be able to keep Jacobsen as long as they want him. That was questionable a few years ago. Probably won't even have to give him a big bump in his salary to do that.

Good game from UNI. Good looking crowd, good intensity. They wouldn't be in danger of Thursday if their team played with that effort regularly, and that crowd was that good regularly.

25-0. WSU's cleared all of the major hurtles in the conference ... there isn't a team left they won't be heavily favored over. But not tripping up to a team they should beat will always be difficult. 6 games remaining, not one against a team with a better than .500 record in conference, only two better than .500 overall.

Tekele Cotton deserves huge props for his effort. He is the most underrated player in the Mo Valley.

WSU is a very good team. They have one thing this Panther team doesn't have that it desperately needs and that is toughness.

WSU has great guards and then they have big men underneath that are athletic and strong. It makes for a rough game. Marshall seems to have quite the love hate relationship with Early. I don't see how a player can talk back to the coaches so much. After the play where Early should have been Teed up he really railed on the coaches. Probably why he sat out for quite a while in the 2nd half.

Great win Shox. Good luck the rest of the way.

Go Panthers!

Don't know why he would have bees T'd up for jumping with an open mouth. Obviously that type of emotion can lead to an overly demonstrative display, but he was quickly calmed and went to the bench. To be quite honest, Singleton grabbed Early's hands and tried to pull him to the floor. To me, that is much more worthy of an intentional foul than Early's jumping was worthy of a T.

As to "railing" on the coaches, I didn't see it, but I know that there is a ton of mutual respect between the coaching staff and Early.
