This is his fourth year in the program. He redshirted as a freshman and then during his RS freshman year he got hurt and missed all but two games. Played last year and this year, and will be in his 5th year next year. He will need a sixth year of eligibility to be considered a "sophomore" this year. Hopefully he gets it, but I wouldn't consider it a done deal.

To be honest I know very little about how it works. When I read the rule and compared his situation to Gibbs, It seemed very likely to me that if Gibbs got one, Buss should get one. But I wasn't trying to hijack this thread with that

Gibbs was lucky to get one, but if they are being fair, then Buss should too. That's not how it works though.
