Next up SIU who is actually on a roll in the conference with 4 wins in row including a road win.

Call me crazy, but I think it would benefit WSU to lose at least one of the remaining games on the conference schedule just to get that loss out of their system. It would be a wake up call to the guys so that they don't go into the tourney overly confident.

This sort of thinking might apply (and I say might) for a team of 1-and-dones like UK. It doesn't make any sense for a team that has to earn everything they're given. If you can't get focused and excited to play an NCAA tournament game, you deserve what comes to you.

Next you will probably be telling us it would be better is WSU wasn't ranked so they could "fly under the radar".

1. There is no such things as "get that loss out their system".
2. Any loss now would be considered a very, very bad loss.
3. WSU has a chance for a #1 seed if they are undefeated, with a loss - no way

Higher seed increase the likelyhood of advancing to week 2.
