Pity that Creighton turned tail and categorically refused to play the Shockers this year.

No matter, WSU is doing fine without them.

Lol... Pity it is.its also a pity that their message board fans are the blend of most cocky and insecure all at the same time. Wish you well in your quest this year.

Nothing cocky or insecure about stating facts, Jack.

It was of course a nice article. But there is one side that shoulders 100% if the blame for this rivalry being discontinued.

Don't be a dumb and expect that not to get mentioned when you post an article about how great a WSU vs. CU matchup would be this year.

Hey Uncle Si... Looks very cocky and very insecure to me... Jack. Who replied to the thread first?

A Creighton fan whining about anyone being cocky is great.

Best of luck advancing to the second weekend for the first time ever this year, Waylon. Would be a shame to never see the Sweet 16 in the greatest three year run in program history.

The abyss awaits.

Waylon, 99.9% of Shocker fans are great people and fans. Play Angry is a minority douche bag. Many of my friends read the article and all hope we can schedule something in the future and hope the Jays do well. Not sure Play Angry knows how those things work. Can't snap our fingers and have a game.

Still smarting from that St. John's loss, I see.

ictjay with a typical simpleton post. You see, it really is not complicated: Creighton discontinued the series when they left. WSU gave them an offer to begin a home and home series, starting this year. Creighton did not accept. Also, as of yet, Creighton has not reciprocated with a similar offer to begin the series next year or in the future. Creighton shoulders the blame here, and it is weird that their fans now play the "aww shucks, sure woulda been nice if we coulda figured things out and played" card.

And, as everyone can see from this year's performance, it has not made one bit of difference.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your traditional opening weekend exit.

I stopped rooting against Creighton when they left the Valley. And I stopped rooting against Doug when he started playing decent defense last year. Nothing but respect for his game now.

I'd love to see a series start up. And I wish Creighton nothing but the best in winning the Big East and making a tournament run.

Now beat Villanova again.
