With Buss back and presumably healthy and players like Martino and Singleton starting to make strong contributions on both sides of the ball I expect the Panthers to pull themselves out of the basement. I could see anywhere from #3-5 depending on how some other Valley teams perform

Agreed, with Buss back and a somewhat favorable schedule down the stretch, including 2 home games against teams you are tied with, I think the Panthers will avoid Thursday in the end. Bradley is my pick at this moment. 3 road games, and one of the home games they have is WSU..They will be doing good to win 2 games here...But this conference is crazy, so who knows?

Winner of the game Saturday night in Springfield is probably the #3 seed, loser probably a good bet for the 4-5 game.

The Bradley at Illinois St. game tonight has huge implications for Thursday night and is a must win for Illinois St. if they are to stay out of Thursday.

A win against Bradley and I think Illinois St. has a fighting chance, but has a difficult remaining schedule (MoSt, @UNI, ISUb, @SIU). To get to 8-10, they need to win one of these remaining 4 games after BU. A loss to BU and Illinois St. needs two wins to get to 8-10.

If Bradley wins, I think BU finishes 9-9, and basically locks up that 6 spot. BU's remaining schedule after tonight is @SIU, Loyola, WSU, at Drake. I think Bradley has two winnable games and two very unwinnable games, while Illinois St. has 4 difficult games.

Conference record prediction if Illinois St. wins tonight:
WSU - 18-0
ISUb - 15-3
SIU - 10-8
UNI - 9-9
MoSt. 9-9
Bradley - 8-10
Illinois St. - 7-11
Evansville - 6-12
Loyola - 5-13
Drake - 3-15

If Illinois St. loses tonight:
WSU - 18-0
ISUb - 15-3
SIU - 10-8
UNI - 9-9
MoSt. 9-9
Bradley - 9-9
Illinois St. - 6-12
Evansville - 6-12
Loyola - 5-13
Drake - 3-15

In this scenario UNI would be 3rd over ILSTU with the higher noncon sos.
