Big game for two teams tied for third in Valley...just because birds are at home if we were in Springfield a different story

Winner goes up 2 games on loser of BU/SIU and will have the non-conf sos advantage in seeding for St. Lou. Winner in great shape to avoid Thursday night, loser still in the thick of the battle.

Missouri is going to need a miracle to finish with 9 wins now. The way we've played on the road and the way we've played at home recently, I don't see it happening. Even so, BU and SIU will have to come up with something special to push MSU to Thursday Night.

At least we have Tmac back for this one. That will help. The Bears are capable of winning this one. Just need to get it done.

Birds grinded out a huge win last night. Gritty effort. Forced 21 turnovers (most MSU has surrendered since playing Arkansas in 2007).

All 5 starters in double figures- a very balanced attacked lead by Daishon Knight

Knight had 17 pts, 5 rebs, 5 assists, and 2 steals.
Hunter had 14 pts, 4 rebs, 2 assists, and 5 steals.
PLee had 10 pts, 2 rebs, 2 assists, and 3 steals.
Zeisloft had 11 pts, 4 rebs, and 1 assist
Reggie had 10 pts, 4 rebs, and 4 blocks

Birds now clinched avoiding Thursday night with a win vs. InSU, @ UNI, or @ SIU---OR---- a loss by BU in any of their remaining games... :Yea!:

Tough remaining schedule. But relying on Bradley losing on the road or to WSU is a pretty solid bet.

Yeah we will be underdogs in all three of our remaining games... I think the weighted ArchMadness probability chart had us at a 40% chance to win vs. InSU and @ SIU and a 25% chance @ UNI. BU is underdogs vs. WSU (obvs) and @ Drake, who has been playing better at home recently. I like our chances.

This is turning into a pretty disappointing season for the Bears. I'm convinced the talent is there but we just aren't getting it done on the court.

Congrats to ISUr. Your team looked like a disaster the first month of the season. You are much better than expected.

Bears post is still soft IMO leading to the inconsistencies of the team. McCullough will get better and Kirk is serviceable, but you need an upgrade at one of the post positions for next year.

McCullough and Kirk should have had a big advantage with our small front line... but the only player that hurt us on the inside was Gulley. He did a nice job of getting into the body of Reggie Lynch and either finishing or drawing a foul. Getting into his body didn't allow Reggie to block his shot (Reggie did have 4 blocks but I'm not sure any were vs. Gulley). Gulley was a load (24 pts I believe)... he seemed to be a bit of a headcase though... "Mean mugging" (as I call it) the refs anytime there was a foul called on him or a non-call that he felt should have been a foul. Is that normal for him, or just a frustrating night?
