Your team did not have an off night last night. Don't act like you could have played better, given your personnel, against WSU last night. You really couldn't have. Still lost by 14 at home with a packed house.

Good luck the rest of the way, but please, don't try to diminish WSU's accomplishments by saying they are not very good. It doesn't make you look very intelligent as a fan base.

That's idiotic. We could have played better. We could have hit more shots, less stupid fouls, etc. Every team in every single game on every single level can play better. No one plays perfect. That being said, WSU could have also played better and beaten us by even more. Neither team came close to playing a perfect game. WSU is leaps and bounds better than Loyola, however (obviously) and doesn't even need to play close to their potential to beat the Ramblers.

funny you say that, he did the same thing in the game in Wichita. The guys that sit in my section were cracking up. He would literally stand up and cheer after every single basket they made, it did end up getting annoying

They got to do something to keep themselves entertained when the squad is 9-17 and they play 0 minutes per game. It is all in good fun.

Most fans predicted that at the beginning of the year. A few saw a possibility of an 8th or 7th place finish. We played competitively in most of our losses (and even had their early blowout win over MSU) which gave some hope to our fans that a better than expected finish was possible but in the end, we are what we are. An extremely young team (6th youngest in the nation) with some decent young talent but a lot of missing pieces trying to navigate a new, tougher conference. All things considered, I can't be too upset with the overall performance of the team this year. Only upset with some small things here and there that mostly relate to Moser's coaching.

Was he a scholarship player? Reminded me of WSU's walkon Zach Bush, although Bush just gets excited about good plays.

He made me laugh. I'm assuming he was cracking up the cameraman, too, considering how often he was on TV.

No, he's a "preferred walk-on". Whatever that means. Freshman. Cal Kennedy.

Someone made a tribute video... UNI fans probably won't want to watch:

Preferred walk on is Y2K speak for "walk on".

The implication that the coaches didn't also pick non scholarship players in the past is a farce unless you're talking about someone like Ron Baker.

And please don't try to compare Bake with Mr. Happydance.

Dude is a walk on. Preferred walk just makes him feel better.

Baker was asked to come as a walk on for the first year and then was guaranteed a scholarship the next four years. I wouldn't really call him a walk on, WSU just didn't have a scholarship to offer him his first year. Same with Malcolm Armstead.

Jake Odum was also initially a walk on...

Loyola has a walk on who gets some reasonable playing time, London Dokubo. He's a defensive specialist who has seen PT in all but three games this year.
