Indiana State at Missouri State (2/22)

another BIG game today to kick off MVC Saturday at noon (ESPNU). Sycamores fighting to keep their .00001% chance for an NCAA at large bid alive, MSU fighting to avoid Thursday (although I think they will avoid Thursday regardless of today's results).

Last night the Indiana State women beat MSU at JQH, so we'll see if the men have similar luck today!

Sycamores looking dreadful, we're 2-13 (1-8 from 3) from the field this half, if not for FT's MSU would be up by about 30 now. Can't hit the ocean today. Sycamores seem very disinterested and are really struggling against the zone, which everyone knows we do.

dreadful game for ISU, we're 4-17 from the field, 1-9 from 3, 12 turnovers, just uninspired play from ISU. Lansing will need to light them up with a fired up halftime speech.

MSU leads 35-24 near the end of the 1st half

MSU leads 37-26 at halftime, ISU 1-10 from 3, 5-18 from the field, Bears 2-3 zone just KILLING ISU

ISU 15-16 from the FT line though

The TREES, should approach every game, from here on out, as a "play-in" game, for The NCAA tournament.
A loss here, or any remaining game, most likely will eliminate them from consideration, without a MVC tournament championship, in St Louis.
Not really not one to cheer (publicly) against any VALEY team against another VALLEY team...However, in this scenario..... "GO TREES"

MSU blatantly leaving Odum with 3's so wide open, he's shooting them without any inkling of pressure - when his Sycamore teammates even permit him the opportunity to shoot.

Impressed with Cummings & Brown. They're trying to will the Sycamores to win this.

ISU had it to 1, but MSU has gone on a run and now leads by 7, just too difficult to win on the road when you shoot as poorly as ISU has today. Not much else to say

congrats Bears, you all were the better team today, disappointing, uninspired effort from ISU today.
