Whatever I guess.

That's why they let the people, who know what they are talking about, vote for the players.

What's funny is that out of anyone listed on the first - probably even second team - the only argument you'll likely get out of placement from anyone is DJ...

I'm sure DJ is devastated by your opinion.

The numbers DJ put up would easily be put up, and then some, by Baker, Bohannon, Bean, Knight, Buss, etc...

He played over 200 minutes more than anyone else on the roster...over 38 per game
Took 288 more shots than anyone else on the roster...you could add 2nd and 3rd most together and not get his total
7 players on Evansvilles roster, alone, had a higher shooting % than him, was 6th in RPG on the roster, 5th in steals, 2nd most turnovers.

If you take his numbers other than PPG he isn't a All Conference guy...the only reason he gets to that level is because he takes 16 FG attempts per game. He's played nearly 100 more minutes than the next closest guy in the valley

First time 1n 41 years that three players from one team have been first team all-conference (10 man team).

First time in 63 years that three players from one team have been first team all-conference when a 5 (6) man team was chosen.

DJ isn't in the top 10 for FG%...or really that close.

He was at 43...10th place is Beane at 47.2.

Beane taking 16 FG per game, plus the FT and 3 points at 47.2 fg gives him about 24-26 ppg.

Evansville has the leading FG% in the entire conference with Mockevicius at 63%. Him taking 16 fg per game at 63% is 21PPG and thats without any free throws added...he'd likely get 12-15FT per game. He's looking at 30 ppg. Yet he gets passed over for DJ to continue to chuck s*** up at an ungodly rate.

In conference stats only he is 22nd in effective shooting %, 20th in shooting % (lower than his season total %), 30th in steals, 19th in A:TO, and is at 39MPG.

There are about 8-10 players that if used like him would put up better numbers...but they play for teams that like to have more than 1 person shoot more than 30% of the teams total shots...

And they play for teams that prefer winning records.

I disagree with you one area you are overlooking is his ability to draw fouls....D.J. 236 FTA, Baker 116 FTA, Bohannon 45 FTA, Beane 99 FTA and Buss 41 FTA my point is this Balentine is not just a great shooter, he is great at his ability to draw fouls, Bohannon and Buss they can shoot but they don't draw fouls, of the guys you mentioned none of them even close to his free throw attempts, does he shoot a lot? yes, but I feel like he would be an all MVC player on any team in the Valley except WSU.
