I guess northern Iowa has a flawed system, really was expecting more from them, i don't know what's wrong with the coach just not the same.

Shocker Nation loves Barry Hinson. UNI screwed us by falling out of the top 100, but you have to love Barry. UNI was too impotent to take what was being given to them.

UNI played the toughest schedule in the non-con and STILL came out with a winning record. They finished third in conference. Jacobson has two NCAA appearances, including a sweet 16. His record over the past 8 years is 161-98. Contrast that against Simmons.

What have you done for me lately? last 4 years he is 3 - 5 against Evansville and only has 6 more conference wins in these 4 years combined, I was really just digging it seems some of their fans have it in for coach Simmons when over the last 4 years Jacobson hasn't been great, my take is I think they both are good coaches and yes Jacobson does have a better resume.

6 conference wins is pretty significant, and noncon wins are important.

Marty would have a lot more leeway here if he could get his teams to win in the noncon.
